Job Description 1. arranging appointments with pharmacists, doctors, and hospital medical teams, either in advance or through regular "cold" calls. 2. giving presentations to pharmacists in the retail sector, hospital doctors, and practice staff, nurses, and doctors in general practice (GP) surgeries. During the day, presentations may be given in medical settings or in the evening at a nearby hotel or conference center. 3. putting on conferences for doctors and other members of the medical staff, establishing and upholding positive working relationships with medical staff, and providing assistance to administrative staff. 4. Budget management (for conferences, catering, outside speakers, hospitality, etc.) 5. keeping thorough records of every contact. 6. achieving annual sales goals (and, if possible, exceeding them). 7. Scheduling work schedules as well as weekly and monthly schedules This may involve working with the area sales team or discussing future targets with the area sales manager. Medical sales executives typically plan when and how to target health professions and have their own regional area of responsibility. 8. regular attendance at company meetings, presentations of technical data, and briefings. 9.
